In addition to group classes and private lessons we offer residency programs (board & train programs). What’s the difference you may ask? In residency programs, we train your dog and then train you.
To use the services at Stay and Obey, you will need to Login or Create your account. Once your account is created, you can book your own boarding dates and so much more!
This option works great for people who do not have time to train due to a busy schedule, want quick results and/or want to change more difficult behaviors. The next time you go on vacation, instead of just boarding your dog, send him through a residency program and come home to an educated canine. It’s up to you to put in the time, repetitions, consistency to teach your dog. We send our human children to school and college, why not send your K9 kid too.
The following training programs are designed to teach dogs and owners at different levels. In order for all of our training programs to be successful, it is imperative for owner(s) to work at home to change patterns and behaviors as instructed by your trainer. Your willingness to incorporate the obedience commands into everyday life, as instructed by your trainer, is crucial for success. The time and energy that you invest will determine how much you and your dog are able to accomplish. The following is a breakdown of what each residency training program offers you and your dog. - Training dogs are required to have the following vaccinations: DHLP, Parvo, and Rabies. We also recommend the Corona and Bordatella vaccinations. The Bordatella vaccination must be given at least 10 days prior to training. It is the owner’s responsibility to provide current vaccination records. Dogs that are without vaccination records or overdue on vaccinations will not be accepted for training.
- Before booking a residency program you and your dog should come in for a mini consult (meet and greet appointment), cost for this appointment is $35.
The Great Dog Program (GDRP)
Cost is $1900.
The Great Dog Program is a 15 day boarding program with two private lessons, the first is given the day you pick up your dog, the other lesson must be used within 2 months, email and phone support are also provided. The GDRP is ideal for pups with mild behavioral issues, such as pulling on leash, door dashing, jumping, chewing, and barking, and will introduce the fundamentals of obedience (sit, down, stay, leave it, and come). Pups will learn verbal and visual markers and how to integrate them in a variety of settings. Includes a 5 foot leather handcrafted leash and working collar. *Eligible for place
The Excellent Dog Program (EDRP)
Cost is $2700.
The Excellent Dog Program is a 21 day boarding program with four private lessons, email and phone support for one year. Your first lesson is given the day you pick up your dog after the program is completed. The other lessons must be used within six months. This program is ideal for pups with mild to moderate behavioral issues, such as pulling on leash, barking, countersurfing, digging, and control in public, and will instill the fundamentals of obedience. Pups will develop a greater comprehension of verbal and visual markers in a greater variety of settings. Some fear based behaviors and anxiety can be greatly reduced with this program. Includes a 5 foot leather handcrafted leash and working collar. *Eligible for place and off-leash control.
The Rock-star Intervention Program
Cost is $3700.
The Rock-star Intervention Program is a two month boarding program with unlimited private lessons, email and phone support for one year. Your first lesson is given the day you pick up your dog after the program is completed, you then have unlimited private follow-up lessons for one year. This program is ideal for dogs with moderate to severe behavioral issues, such as reactivity (on or *off leash), resource guarding, excessive hyperactivity, and will instill the fundamentals of obedience in a plethora of situations. Pups will develop excellent verbal and visual marker comprehension and many fear based behaviors and anxieties can be greatly reduced. Includes a 5 foot leather handcrafted leash and working collar. *Eligible for place and off-leash control.
