Our Day Training programs offer a happy medium between a Board & Train (residency program) and Private Lessons. They alleviate much of the grunt work on your end as the owner, and you won’t have to worry about your dog being gone for weeks.
The Day Training programs involve five days of training per week (Monday-Friday), during which your trainer will work with your dog(s) one-on-one throughout the day in multiple sessions ranging between 10-30 minutes each. Once your dog has a good foundation, they will be taken on field trips to public spaces such as parks and pet-friendly stores. This will help your dog generalize their new behaviors learned in different environments. Every Friday, you will have a private lesson with your trainer to review everything your dog has learned. Your trainer will then assign you homework to reinforce the training over the weekend.
À la Carte or by the Week
Cost: $750
Takes place Monday-Friday with a private lesson on Friday. This includes daycare if the dog is able to participate. Dogs who cannot partake in daycare can still sign up for this training at the same cost.
Jump Start Play and Train
4 weeks / $2780
This program is a 4-week package: $2780 (Monday-Friday with 4 private lessons, one each week) (saves $55 a week or a total savings of $220). This four-week program focuses on teaching your dog basic obedience. This includes a place command (dog must stay within the boundary of a bed), a sit-stay, down-stay, a heel command, and a recall (come when called). Daycare is included.
Fast Track Play and Train
6 weeks / $4170
This package is a 6-week package: $4170 (Monday-Friday with 6 private lessons, one each week) (saves $55 a week or a total savings of $330). This 6-week Day Training program includes everything that the 4-week Day Training includes but is recommended for owners who would like their dog to be off-leash trained, which requires e-collar training. It is also recommended for dogs that need more extensive training for behavioral issues such as leash reactivity, fear, anxiety, etc. Daycare is included.
In order for any of our training programs to be successful, it is imperative for owner(s) to be consistent in changing patterns and behaviors at home as instructed by your trainer. Your willingness to incorporate the obedience commands into everyday life is crucial for success. The time and energy that you invest will determine how much you and your dog are able to accomplish.
To use the services at Stay and Obey, you will need to download the Stay & Obey App, login or create your account. Once your account is created, you can upload vet documents, schedule boarding and daycare, buy packages as well as so much more! This app allows us to send you photos direct to your email or push notifications direct to your phone. Or of course you can always log in and look at all the pups in our care having fun or getting snuggles.
Dogs participating in these programs must attend daycare the required number of days consecutively. There are no make-up dates. Before a dog can be approved for one of these programs the owner and pup must come in for a meet and greet appointment. Dogs must arrive between 6:30 a.m. – 8:00 a.m. daily and can be picked-up only after 5:00 p.m. The private lesson is scheduled the last day of training. Dogs who would rather not participate in daycare are also allowed to join this program but will enjoy rest in a den or private play in a yard when not in training.
